Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Wildlife enthusiasts of all ages will love getting up close to some of our most iconic national animals at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary; Queensland’s premier nature attraction just a short drive from our Tugun holiday apartments.
The beautiful, 27 hectare park houses the region’s largest and most diverse collection of Australian animal species, including crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies and of course, the sleepy koala bear. Lend a hand during the world famous lorikeet feeding times, catch an educational and entertaining talk from a wildlife expert, have your picture taken with a koala and discover some of the country’s most feared and misunderstood snakes and lizards in the reptile house. For a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes, visit the Wildlife Hospital to see the vital work that goes into caring for all the sanctuary’s residents.
Kids will love the Green Challenge, a recently added high ropes adventure course set high in the lush green rainforest. Show off your swinging skills on the Tarzan rope swing; take on the flying foxes and over 60 other unique challenges in unforgettable natural surroundings. Don’t forget your camera!
