Go Crab Fishing on the Tweed River
Seafood lovers staying at our Southern Gold Coast accommodation can enjoy a scenic cruise along the Tweed River to collect a box full of one of Queensland’s most sought after delicacies, the delicious mud crab.
As your modern, purpose built cruiser journeys down river, you can get involved with a range of rewarding activities, including feeding the pelicans, yabbie pumping and of course, fishing for seasonal giant crabs. Not much beats the thrill of hoisting the crab pot from the water to see it crawling with a lively catch!
The cruise leaves from a fascinating working oyster farm which is also home to a cosy gift shop overflowing with pearl jewellery and fresh, gourmet produce. Take time out for lunch at the Lakeside café, where you can tuck into plates of freshly caught crabs and Terranora lake oysters as you relax by the river. Bliss!
Tour costs include all necessary equipment, including bait and cruises last three and a half hours.
